Dalam membuat suatu aplikasi https dibutukan adanya sertifikasi digital oleh karena itu akan terlebih dahulu dilakukan pembuatan digital sertifikat.

Pembuatan sertifikat dengan openssl

Pertama kali yang harus dilakukan adalah membuat CA karena kali ini kita akan menggunakan CA sendiri. disini tidak akan dibahas mengenai proses instalasi openssl karena hanya akan mneggunakan aplikasi openssl yang telah ada pada Slackware. Untuk pembuatan CA diawali dengan langkah sebagai berikut

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# cd /etc/ssl/

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# mkdir demoCA

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# mkdir crl

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# cd demoCA/

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# mkdir newcerts

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# mkdir private

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# chmod 700 private/

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# echo “01″ > serial

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# touch index.txt

Dapat dilihat bahwa kita akan membuat direktori dan file yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat sebuah root CA. Proses selanjutnya kita akan melakukan proses pembangkitan kunci untuk root CA dan sertifikatnya.

You know what? i’m feeling better this morning, thanx god……

got a lot to do this day and i start it with playing tennis with my friend eventhought a high temperature of lovely sun is shining us this morning but it’s okay and it’s not a problemo at all….

in this session of practice i’m just planning to training my backhand shoot because i fell terrible when doing that, my shoot were going to far far away from the back line mostly you know….

actualy i’ve doing the same thing last night but i’m still feel that my skill is so… so… so…. worse….. that is why i want to pratice it again this day, but you know what? i’m still fail to fixing my shoot this morning…fuuhhhhh……..

and i think i should stop this game and learning the theory more and more huh??

before i begin to give you my exploration i’ll give the scenario that i’m trying to do. for better undertanding i’ll give it with vizualitation method. ok let see the picture below :

ha3 the left side suppose to be client 1 i’m sory …..

as you can see there will be a Root CA with one CA server below it and there will be 2 client where one of them will be signed by Server CA and another will be directly signed by Root CA. I’m sure you’re not having a problem to understanding the concept do you? good….

okay we’ll do this step by step..

STEP 1: Preparing file and directory needed by openssl for creating CA
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# mkdir demoCA —–> for Root CA directori
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# cd demoCA/
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# mkdir newcerts —–> storing the certificate
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# mkdir private —–> storing the root CA key
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# chmod 700 private/
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# echo “01″ > serial —–> setificate index number
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl/demoCA# touch index.txt —–> indexing the saved certificate

no more explanation i think because i’ve write down it there in the right side of each step, for more explanation just read the recommendation book okay….

STEP 2 : Generating key and certificate for Root CA

and now we are going to maka a new key and certificat for CA root
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:4096 -out cacert.pem -outform PEM -keyout demoCA/private/cakey.pem

STEP 3 : Generating key and certificate request for client 1

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2408 -keyout key1.pem -out req.pem

STEP 4 : Signing the client 1certificate by Root CA

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl ca -in req.pem

STEP 5 : Generating key and certificate request for Server CA

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2408 -keyout serverCA.pem -out serverCAreq.pem

STEP 6 : Signing the Server CA certificate by Root CA
root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl ca -in serverCAreq.pem -extensions v3_ca -out serverCAcert.pem

STEP 6 : Generating key and certificate request for client 2

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2408 -keyout key2.pem -out req2.pem

STEP 7 : Singing the client 2 certificate by Server CA

root@darkstar:/etc/ssl# openssl ca -in req3.pem -keyfile serverCAkey.pem -cert serverCAcert.pem

and it’s finished and the question is “what for all this stuff created?” the anwer is in the next post where we’ll continuing this with making a simple HTTPs connection okay…

tp ga tau kenapa hari ini bener2 ngerasain pusing yang luar biasa. setelah pagi hari ada presentasi kriptografi jaringan kepala langsung terasa berat and after that harus ikut kuliah FPGA pula….haaaaaaahhhh…….!!!!!!

There are two main component in mail server MTA (Message Transfer Agent) and MDA (Mail Delivery Agent) This time i’ll use Sendmail as MTA and Popa3d as MDA. Slackware 12 use those package as default mail agent but i’m not using them directly. i’ve uninstalled it first and re-install with a new and updated one except the Popa3d i’m using the installed package and only configuring it for support POP3 server.

O k let’s get start to built the system:

Sendmail Installation

the packet is in tarbal format so that we should extract it first
#tar –zxfv sendmail sendmail.8.13.8.tar.gz

go to the sendmail directory and then build with
#sh Build

change to cf/cf directory and type (i’t recommended to backup the sendmail.cf file first )
#sh Build sendmail.cf

and then install sendmail.cf as /etc/mail/sendmail.cf and submit.cf as /etc/mail/submit.cf
#Sh Build install-cf

make new user “smmsp” and group “smmsp” for sendmail system requirement
#Adduser smmsp
#Groupadd smmsp

and then type
#sh Build install

done with installation and now we will chage the sendmail permision sendmail
#chmod 755 /etc/rc.d/rc.sendmail

now you can run the sendmail

#/etc/rc.d/rc.sendmail start

Popa3d Installation
This packet is actualy installed on the system but there’s some configuration needed for making Popa3d as a relay POP3 server to another client. First step just find the inetd.conf

Uncomment or add this line :
# Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) server:
pop3 stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/sbin/popa3d

Add entries for the host names that the smpt server should accept mail for in /etc/mail/local-host-names:
# names of hosts for which we receive email
<your host>.com

Add entries in the /etc/mail/access if required. The following allows the host 192.161.19 to relay mail through this SMTP server
192.168.1.19 RELAY

then run the following command to build the access.db database:
#makemap hash access.db < access

Yeah it’s done and now you should restart the sendmai service
#/etc/rc.d/rc.sendmail restart

Testing
Do some test with:
#nmap localhost

and see whether port 25 and 110 opened
or you can send or receive e-mail with telnet comand
#telnet localhost 25  untuk SMTP sever
#telnet localhost 110  untuk POP3 server

ok that’s all…..

“The Relation beetwen Cryptography and Other Sciences (Mathematics, Information Technology, and Electronics)” .

as you can see from the topic this seminar will give you a new point of view about what realy is cryptography and how it is actualy relate with another sciences. it sound like a basic knowledge of cryptography here but did you think you have realy realy know it in advance? i don’t think so……..

it’s realy cool in theory actualy but there’s some problem in MagikFs program

i’ve found some bug in the decryption and random initialization process

beside that there’s looping in make_hidden_inode function that causing “Segmentation fault” error

the tracing of program still in progress now and i’m using Slackware 12 kernel 2.6.21 to do this

i’ll give more report later because i’m not finishing to fix it

oh man the segmentation fault error is caused by my block size

because i’m trying it with only 100Mb parttition the mke2fs only make the block in 1024 bytes size

but if you’re edit the looping process like i’ve write before ( above ) it still can works but there will be file coalition so that you can only unhide the last file that you save

the next problem with 4Kb block size is the random initialization won’t works……

why ???? let’s find out………..
